Physician-founded investment firm
The signal arrives first.
We underwrite healthcare businesses and the infrastructure that carries clinical information — with the same attention a difficult case requires.

The name
Sensation before action.
In physiology, afferent pathways carry sensation toward the center. They do not invent the world. They receive it, then the organism acts.
Afferent Capital is built the same way. We listen first — to operators, to clinicians, to the unfashionable details of how a business actually runs — and only then commit capital.
The firm is physician-founded. That is not decoration. It is a standard of evidence: localize the lesion, then treat.

How we work
Attend. Localize. Concentrate. Remain.
Few positions, held with care. Time in the work before time in the model. A long horizon, and no theater.
Read the approachWhere we look
Focus
- 01Healthcare deliveryPractices, platforms, and services that change how care is given — not how it is advertised.
- 02NeuroscienceNeuromonitoring, neurotechnology, and businesses built around the nervous system.
- 03Clinical infrastructureThe quiet systems that move signal, record a case, and let a clinician decide.
- 04Adjacent technologySelective software and tools that alter the cost or quality of care. Few, and only when the work is real.
Discipline
We do not chase every thesis. We wait for a signal we can trust.
